AI visibility audit

When buyers ask AI, does your brand make the answer?

GetSounding is an AI visibility tool that asks the kinds of questions your buyers might ask, then checks the AI services in your plan. See when your site is cited, when your brand is named, how it is described, and which sources appear instead.

Start with a public page. No account required. First findings appear while the full audit continues.

A mention and a citation are not the same thing

An AI answer can name your brand without linking to your site. It can also cite a page without naming the brand. GetSounding keeps those outcomes separate, then evaluates sentiment only around a confirmed mention.

  • Citation: Was your site in the returned source URLs?
  • Brand mention: Did the recorded answer name your brand?
  • Sentiment: How was a confirmed mention framed?
  • Sources instead: Which pages appeared when yours did not?

Incomplete checks are marked unmeasured and excluded from the result.

SEO, AEO, GEO and Google AI Overviews

The terms overlap. This is the practical difference, and what each one means inside a GetSounding report.

SEO, Search engine optimization
Helps search engines find and understand useful pages so people can discover them in traditional search results.
AEO, Answer engine optimization
Makes a page's useful information easier to find and understand when a search system or assistant gives a direct answer.
GEO, Generative engine optimization
Focuses on how a brand and its content appear inside generated answers, including citations, mentions and framing.
Google AI Overviews, AI-generated summaries in Google Search
AI-generated summaries that can appear for some searches and include links to supporting pages.

These disciplines overlap. Google says the same SEO fundamentals apply to its AI features and that AI Overviews do not require special markup. Read Google Search Central's guidance.

The same questions can produce very different answers

Guest and Free audits use Perplexity Sonar. Paid audits use Perplexity Sonar Pro and also check Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite, OpenAI GPT-5.1, DeepSeek V3.2 and Claude Sonnet 4.5. Paid reports also record a Google AI Overview when Google returns usable evidence for the tested question.

From a website to a report you can inspect

  1. Start with a public page and record the page signals GetSounding can verify.
  2. Build about fifteen realistic buyer questions without naming the company.
  3. Check the services in the selected plan and show findings as evidence arrives.
  4. Keep each question, answer and source together, then connect recommendations to what was observed.

Compare brand visibility with SoundingScore

SoundingScore ranks brands by how often they appear in AI answers and cited sources. Compare each brand's score with its number of appearances, then filter the view by industry or category.

Know what happened before deciding what to change

The finished report includes the full recorded answers, returned source URLs, citation positions, confirmed brand-mention excerpts, sentiment sample size, sources cited instead, completion status, and SEO, AEO and GEO findings. Signed-in accounts keep saved history, while export formats depend on the selected plan.
